About Elsa Shiju

Like most kids, Elsa dreamed of going to space; unlike most kids, however, she has spent her entire childhood making it happen. A six-time Space Camp attendee witnessing 3 Space Shuttle launches, attending Space Camp 4 times, Space Academy, Robotics Academy, Cosmosphere Camp, National Flight Academy and VA Space Flight Academy, which made her an astronaut trainee. Now an Open Water Scuba Diver and middle school student, Elsa serves as a brand ambassador for future-minded companies and writes books and gives speeches encouraging the youth in her generation to join her in the future of space exploration.

About the course

Do you believe in aliens? The scientific search is on as researchers use powerful telescopes and other technology to canvas the cosmos in search of extraterrestrial life. What are they looking for, where do they think they’ll find it, and what do they think it will look like? Join Astronaut Trainee and Earth ambassador Elsa Shiju for an interactive, extraterrestrial exploration all about the ongoing search for aliens, including how you may one day discover new neighbors across the galaxy or beyond.
